Who Is Involved?
Footprints in Time collaborates with the Commision on Aging, Area Agency on Aging, the Northwest Michigan Alzheimers Association, Veteran's Affairs, families, friends and businesses.
FIT engages a large corps of volunteers made up of people from all walks and generations of life. The youngest of these volunteers are small children not yet in school. With guidance from adults, they bring their playfulness and sense of wonder to a population often deprived of contact with children. This intergenerational community involvement enriches group respite programs, shows elders that they are important members of the community, provides stimulating activities and offers encouragement and practical support. These efforts foster healthy community life for all ages.

Health compromised seniors will have the opportunity to interact socially with peers and younger people by sharing in stimulating activities that support physical, emotional and mental well being. 3.
